Helios 44-2 58mm f/2 M42 Square Bokeh

 The lens's aperture has been modified to mimic a "square bokeh" effect from the famous and coveted Zenitar-ME1.

 Helios 44-2 58 mm f/ 2 is lens based on the Biotar 2/58 lens (Carl Zeiss Jena).

 This is one of the most popular lenses produced for the ZENIT-E camera. It has a connecting thread M42x1. Aperture control is manual, with a preset ring.

 Despite their prevalence and low cost, the Helios 44-2 2/58 lens allows you to get very lively, moderately sharp and contrasting, "airy" images with beautiful, slightly swirly bokeh.

 In the center of the image, the lens is quite sharp even at f / 2.0. On covered apertures, the edges and corners of the image return to normal. Like other lenses in the HELIOS-44 family, the 44-2 version twists the background (the legendary 'swirly bokeh' of the Helios). Such a lens can be a great find for an amateur photographer.

 The lens can and should be used for any creative ideas. On cropped cameras, it can serve as a good portrait lens.
